Greg Nicotero teases “Creepshow” tribute in The Walking Dead “Say Yes”
The Walking Dead’s Executive Producer Greg Nicotero teases a “Creepshow” vibe for this week’s episode “Say Yes,” which he also directed.
There’s no question that The Walking Dead’s multifaceted Executive Producer Greg Nicotero loves to gives fans sneak peeks into upcoming episodes, but this week’s “Say Yes” is special for him. Not only did he direct the episode, but he has a special tribute mixed into the episode.
In a post on his Instagram account, Nicotero gives fans a look at a new Walker from The Walking Dead episode “Say Yes,” which is the 19th episode of The Walking Dead that he has directed over the course of the show’s seven seasons. He also gives fans a taste of what they can expect this week: “Maybe a Creepshow tribute in this upcoming episode of The Walking Dead. My 19th episode as director. See you Sunday! All Rick, All Michonne, All Walkers!”
Nicotero also mentions in the post that he’s getting ready for Walker Stalker Con in London, which takes place March 4-5. Many cast members including Michael Cudlitz, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chandler Riggs, Josh McDermitt, and Ross Marquand will also be in attendance. The TWD Family is strong in the United Kingdom; this event is massively popular and it draws huge crowds across the pond.
Based on the preview to this week’s episode “Say Yes” Rick and Michonne go on a supply run, now adding a search for more guns to their list of needs, when they come upon an abandoned amusement park. Date night turns deadly when the amusement park turns out to be inhabited by Walkers.

The last time Greg Nicotero teased more Walkers we got the awesome scene in the midseason premiere “Rock in the Road” where Rick and Michonne ran a wire into a herd, splitting them in half.
