13) Interestingly, Eugene falls back to his original cover story of being a scientist after Negan says he’s “just some asshole”.

14) That cover story hasn’t been in use since Eugene revealed it all to be a lie in season five’s “Self Help”.

15) This episode gets its name from Eugene suggesting covering the fence walkers’ heads with molten metal to “protect them from Hostiles And Calamities“.

16) Incidentally, Eugene may have gotten the idea for that from his encounter with the leadhead walker at the bullet factory in season six’s “Twice As Far”.

17) I’m just gonna say this: Eugene’s little smirk after meeting Negan might be his most badass moment since saving Tara and standing up to Nicholas in “Spend”.

18) In her note, Sherry says Dwight “Didn’t want to live in that world”. Was he planning on committing suicide when the apocalypse began?
