In the preview for the new episode of The Walking Dead Carol is back in fighting form. Did she find out about Glenn and Abe? Will Morgan finally fight if Carol does?

There are so many questions about the next episode of The Walking Dead titled“Bury Me Here”. In the preview for the episode Carol is shown going back inside The Kingdom’s gates with a gun and a very determined attitude. It appears that Carol is back on the clock and ready to fight.

But that’s not necessarily a good thing. If Carol found out that Daryl lied to her about everyone being alright that would be enough to get her back in fighting mode.

But, as she said, when it was over there would be nothing left of her humanity. She would destroy herself to avenge Glenn and Abe, and to protect the others that she loves so much. And that means she may not come back from a fight against Negan and The Saviors.

Carol’s been lying low because after her encounter with the female Saviors in “Same Boat” she realized how tenuous her grasp on humanity is at this point. She doesn’t want to become a monster or a killing machine. But she will do whatever it takes to protect the people she loves. They’re the only ones who matter to her. And knowing that one by one she will lose them is weighing on her.

Carol is the ultimate survivor. Again and again she adapts to every challenge that The Walking Dead world throws at her. But this time she’s been struggling to adapt. If she finds out that Negan killed Glenn and Abe she will trade her humanity for revenge. Can she come back from that one more time? Or will this be the end of Carol?

How Would Carol Find Out?

Daryl lied to Carol about Glenn and Abe to protect her. Morgan hasn’t told her either. So is it even realistic that she would find out that Negan killed so many people from Alexandria? She stays isolated in her cottage. So anyone that would know about the deaths probably wouldn’t be around her very often. But a secret like that is hard to keep for very long.

Carol is very smart. She must know that something is up. Otherwise Daryl wouldn’t have been at The Kingdom. He said that just came across her but she knows better than that. She would know that there had to be a reason Daryl was there instead of at home in Alexandria.

Also the visit from Rick, Jesus and the others is probably being talked about inside The Kingdom. New people are probably a topic of curiosity like they would be in any small community. So Carol may hear some of the members of The Kingdom discussing Rick’s visit.

King Ezekiel could blow Daryl’s secret too. She talks to the King pretty frequently and he knows that Negan killed people from Alexandria. He could tell Carol that. He wouldn’t know the names of who was killed. But just knowing that The Saviors killed anyone in Alexandria could be enough to spur her into action.

The news might also come from Morgan. Morgan knows who was killed, and how. If Carol asks him about Negan and about the people in Alexandria Morgan would tell her the truth. Hopefully Carol can convince him to start fighting too.

Will Fighting Destroy Her?

Carol has seemed ready to die for most of The Walking Dead season 7. If she finds out that Negan killed Glenn and Abe and killed others from Alexandria and took Daryl hostage she will fight. There’s no question about that. And Carol is pretty deadly when she’s fighting for those she loves.  But after the fight is done will she give up and let herself be killed or kill herself? Will she go on her own suicide mission to take down Negan?

Maybe, but probably not. Carol has gone through some pretty dark periods before but she always rallied and came back stronger. If Carol truly didn’t want to live anymore she would have ended her life already. But she’s still staying close to people. She didn’t leave The Kingdom and go off on her own. She is keeping her distance but never going too far away.

Carol still loves Rick, Daryl and the others very deeply. And she’s making connections at The Kingdom. She’s not ready to give up on life yet. The Walking Dead’s secret weapon will soon be joining the fight to take Negan and The Saviors out for good.
