Logan Miller on Benjamin
Everyone in the restaurant cheered at Logan’s first appearance in the episode. We watched as his character was growing into an honorable young man, caring for his brother, and developing a strong kinship with Morgan.
But when Jared’s gun moves to the right and the show breaks for commercial, everyone in the restaurant was terrified of who took the bullet. Many of us feared that it was Benjamin. We all agonized with him when it is confirmed that Benjamin is indeed the victim and his friends rush to his side.
What a heartbreaking sequence as the group takes him to Carol’s cottage and tries to stop the bleeding. When the camera pulls away revealing the white sheet over Benjamin’s body, there were audible, anguished “NO”s heard among the viewers.
I spoke to Logan Miller about how it felt to watch his character’s death unfold on-screen as well as the close relationship Benjamin developed with Morgan. Listen for his reference to The Karate Kid movie.
