#3. How long can Morgan stay non-violent?
It’s been a while since Morgan has been crazy. Back in season 3, he had lost his mind following the death of his wife Jenny and being unable to protect his son Duane from her reanimated zombie form.
Something snapped when he watched Benjamin die on Carol’s dining room table. He took to the streets and started seeing the ghosts that haunt him. He considered taking his own life again, but instead kicked over a crate to reveal the missing cantaloupe from the weekly drop.
After that, he confronted Richard. The story Morgan heard was one that echoed with him. Much like him, Richard lost his family because he couldn’t act quickly enough and didn’t want it to happen to the rest of the people of Alexandra.
During the next tribute drop, Morgan couldn’t contain his rage. Using his staff, he knocked Richard to the ground and choked him to death in front of The Saviors and The Kingdom before following through with the plan Richard wanted burying him in the hold he dug.
