24. Craig Breslow

Prolific baseball player Craig Breslow is currently with the Minnesota Twins, after having played for many MLB franchises. He’s known for being a fantastic pitcher, often tricking batters by switching up his pitching style. Breslow’s fastballs register around 90 miles per hour, which is great in the MLB, but potentially just as useful a skill in a zombie apocalypse.

But it’s not necessarily Breslow’s skills on the field which make him so valuable after an outbreak. He’s often referred to as the “smartest man in baseball” by multiple media outlets. Perhaps that’s because he comes from Yale, where he majored in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. Always using big words many of his teammates don’t know, Breslow even finds himself getting teased for his smarts.

Breslow is sort of like a real life version Eugene on The Walking Dead. Only he’s in shape with physical skills to boot, an area where Eugene is lacking. Breslow’s brains will prove to be very useful in helping survivors try to get some understanding of the zombies and how they work. But if there are some shambling in your direction, he can also take the initiative to launch some rocks at their heads as well.
