22. Derek Jeter

A franchise player for the New York Yankees, Derek Jeter would spend twenty full seasons playing for the popular baseball team. He holds the MLB record for all time hits by a Shortstop and the sixth of all time in career hits. Even many of his opponents are forced to recognize Jeter as one of the greatest athletes the sport of baseball has ever seen. Not everyone may be a fan of this guy, but to say he wasn’t amazing on the field just would be a downright lie.

It was clear from Jeter’s start in 1995 he was destined for greatness. After his first year on the team, he became the Yankees’ starting Shortstop and managed to win the Rookie of the Year award. He would only get better as his career progressed, becoming one of the biggest legends of the sport and the Yankees’ all time leader in hits.

Jeter has immense talent, obviously, but he is also skilled as a leader. He’d fit in very well into a post apocalyptic survival group. This is someone you could put into some kind of leadership role, knowing he has the abilities to fight alongside you in the apocalypse.
