18. Giancarlo Stanton

Ginacarlo Stanton is one of the best baseball players in the MLB today. He has become the MLB All Star on three separate occasions. He also won the Hank Aaron award in 2014 for leading the MLB with home run hits. Anyone able to put so much focus into something to be this skilled at it would be an asset for your zombie survival team.

Stanton’s wealth might also play into his value in the zombie apocalypse. With the Florida Marlins, he signed what is the record setting, most lucrative deal in sports history. It was a 13 year extension to his contract for $325 million. Perhaps with this money Stanton has some sort of safety shelter, or he could have one built if there was enough warning of the impending zombies.

Apparently, Stanton can also take a hit pretty well. In 2014, a pitched ball would smash Stanton right in the face, an injury that sounds incredibly painful just to read about. It’d cause dental damage and several fractures and lacerations on his face. Still, Stanton was intent on returning to the sport, and he was back in the game as soon as his injuries had healed. You never know who you’re going to run into in the apocalypse, so withstanding such brutal hits would be very valuable.
