11. Michonne’s Killing Spree Walkers

The next most brutal kill on the list also comes from season 4. In “After” Michonne hits a crisis point. After killing Hershel’s walker head she wanders among the walkers not sure where she’s going or what she’s doing. She is traumatized and can’t really focus. As the herd around her starts to get thicker she sees a walker that looks like her. She faces a moment of panic seeing what she would look like as a walker. She starts to give up.

Michonne was ready to let go and let the walkers kill her. She didn’t want to go back to being alone but she didn’t think she’d be able to find Rick and the others again.

But then she manages to recover. She gathers her wits and pulls her katana. Then she goes on one of the most massive killing sprees in the history of the show. First she kills her pets that she was using for protection. Then she starts mowing down all the walkers around her in a frenzy. She doesn’t stop until they are all dead.

When the walkers are all dead she has a moment of clarity. She finds Rick and Carl’s tracks and she decides to find them. The episode ends with Michonne finding Rick and Carl holed up in a house.
