8. Spineless Walker

This walker kill from season 5, “Crossed” is one of the grossest but also one of the coolest walker kills in the show. Daryl is being attacked so he reaches out to a walker that is near him and grabs it by its eyes. Using the eye sockets as a grip he pulls the walker’s head and spine from the body. Then he hits his assailant with the head and spine.

This season also features some amazing special effects work in the walkers that were burned and fused to the ground at the former FEMA camp near the hospital. In this scene Daryl, Rick and Sasha were trying to rescue Beth. They came across some of the officers from Grady Memorial and tried to enlist their help. One of them ran.

Daryl tracked him down but he fought Daryl hard. He had Daryl on the ground and was strangling him when Daryl decided to use the half-melted walkers fused to the ground around him as weapons. He jerked the head and spine out of the walker closest to him and used that to get free.

Ultimately the rescue mission succeeded and they were very close to leaving Grady Memorial with Beth. But then Beth stabbed Dawn with scissors and Dawn shot her in the head and killed her.
