Fighting the urge not to kill each other, the mood between Rosita and Sasha is less than stellar since the death of Abraham on The Walking Dead.

In season 7 episode 14 of The Walking Dead titled ‘The Other Side’, Rosita and Sasha have loosely put together a plan to take out The Saviors leader Negan. It’s a mission that both ladies realize that they may not return from.

Rosita’s resentment of Sasha is very evident as she advises “I’m not here to play get to know you. Either talk about the mission or don’t.”

Who knew tying knots would eventually bring these ladies together?  A simple question from Sasha asking “Will you teach me those knots?” set things into action. This question seem to resonate with Rosita and change her overall mad as hell persona to a much softer side that has been missing since season 6 when she was with Abraham.

A tender moment  between the two ladies reveals Rosita is a survivalist who picked up her skills from the various boyfriends she met on the road.  Rosita admits to Sasha “I thought I hated you” she acknowledges that she hated that Abraham had moved on and had his stuff together. However she admits that she was glad to see him happy.

Rosita confesses “I never told anyone that stuff.  Who I was or what I did.”

Sasha admits “We got lucky having you with us. You know how to do everything.”

In this moment Rosita shares how Johnny, Marcus and Chaser, all men from her past, have  helped to shape her into the woman she is today.

Revealing she stayed with Abraham because he saw more than just a helpless woman in the apocalypse and instead saw someone who could handle herself. She eventually fell in love and never looked back. It is nice to see that no matter how it all goes down Sasha has Rosita’s back and Rosita has Sasha’s back.
