Here are 5 predictions for the season 7 finale of The Walking Dead titled ‘The First Day of the Rest of Your Life’ which will air on Sunday, April 2, 2017.

This time of year is always stressful for fans of The Walking Dead. All of the season has been leading to a big finale and it is hard to know what will happen or if our favorite characters will survive the massive episode.

For the season 7 finale, the stakes are even higher. Negan and The Saviors are a vicious group of killers who live through intimidation and brute force, so the April 2, 2017 episode could be bloodier and deadlier than ever.

Using only the preview videos and episode description for the episode titled ‘The First Day of the Rest of Your Life’, here are 5 predictions for the season 7 finale of The Walking Dead:

  • The Kingdom gets fully on board. Ezekiel, Morgan, Carol, and even Jerry march to war with Alexandria and have Shiva with them. Morgan takes some convincing, but eventually agrees and meet up with the other communities to form a plan.
  • More from Undead Walking

Dwight will return to The Saviors, but for gathering info. At the end of last episode, Dwight was locked in the Alexandria cell and pledging his allegiance to fighting Negan. However, Rick will want to use him as an inside man on the job rather than fighting on the front lines beside him.

  • There will be a major character death. If a name were to be attached to this death, it would be Sasha. Sasha has reached the end of her arc and just needs a powerful way to go out, and AMC should give the character that farewell. However, there could be even more than just her demise in the season finale.
  • Gregory’s plan will backfire in a big way. The current leader of The Hilltop will follow through on his plan to meet up with Simon to get control of the community back, but Negan’s men will lose patience with him when they learn of Maggie still being alive and them hiding Daryl and Sasha.
  • The episode ends with war about to begin. That’s right, fans will get the build, the tension, and the atmosphere of war, but the fighting won’t actually happen yet. Knowing that the fighting will happen is enough for season 7 to be wrapped up in a bow, so there is no need to give anything else away at this time.
