The big season 7 finale of The Walking Dead is happening on April 2, 2017. Here all the information you will need to know going into episode 716.

Season 7 of The Walking Dead has been building toward war. The Saviors have been pushing around the surrounding communities for long enough and Rick Grimes did his best to unite them all to fight for their freedom.

But there is a lot more than just the war going on. Several smaller storylines are happening as well, putting some long-time characters in danger of being killed off on the hit AMC zombie survival drama.

Let’s get caught up on some things fans will need to remember heading into the Sunday, April 2, 2017 season 7 finale!

First, there’s the situation with Sasha. After a failed assassination attempt on Negan, Sasha ran into The Sanctuary and closed the gate behind her, leaving Rosita outside. Instead of being killed, The Saviors took her captive and Negan tried to persuade her to join them.

However, Sasha had no desire to join Negan. She manipulated Eugene to try to get a weapon to kill the leader of The Saviors, but instead was given one of the suicide pills he made for Negan’s wives rather than a blade.

On the other side of that fence, it was revealed that Rosita found Dwight outside The Sanctuary. The two of them actually returned to Alexandria together where Dwight locked himself in the cell and offered his services to Rick and his people.

Inside the walls of The Sanctuary, Eugene appears to feel safe. He wants to stay there for now. However, he may have to make a tough decision soon on which side he wants to fight for, and it will be interesting to see which call he makes and why when the time comes.

Rick, Alexandria, and some people from The Hilltop raided Oceanside last week, taking all of their guns in hopes of trading them to The Scavengers for their services in the war. Last time Rick tried executing the trade with Jadis, she said they needed more. Hopefully she will be satisfied with his offering this time and follow through on her deal.

On the other hand, there are some capable fighters in Oceanside who want to fight. Maybe they will join in the fray, or it is possible that Natanya will continue to not allow anyone from her community to risk their lives in this war.

Things are also interesting at The Hilltop where Gregory is getting very frustrated with losing control of The Hilltop to Maggie. He asked a favor of Simon last time The Saviors were there, and he appears to be cashing in on that opportunity. But he may not be ready for what Negan’s men are willing to do.

Finally, the communities should be starting to gather. Each group should join to find out their role in the fight against Negan and The Saviors. War is just around the corner, and the survivors will need a great plan if they hope to defeat The Saviors.
