Jeffrey Dean Morgan isn’t new to fandom, but his role on The Walking Dead has taken him to another galaxy and has changed his life.

The TWD Family loves Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Whether you like Negan or not, Morgan has really garnered a huge following in The Walking Dead fandom and it has changed his life.

Morgan has been around television for a while, appearing on Grey’s Anatomy in one of the show’s most memorable characters, as well as the hit CW show Supernatural. So why is it that his role as Negan on The Walking Dead is so different? The guy did kill two beloved characters on the show, after all. The answer might lie in the actor who brings the character to life. It’s hard to hate Jeffrey Dean Morgan. While he considers himself a private person, he’s a larger than life character when he is in the public eye.

He recently talked to ABC News about how the role of Negan has impacted his life. Evidently, he gets a lot of people wondering if they could face Negan in a fight:

"I get a lot of dudes, I’ll be…getting coffee or something, and they…sidle up next to me. …I can see them sizing themselves up next to me. …[like] “I could take Negan. I could kick Negan’s ass!” And I’m a 50-year old dude, man. I don’t want to throw down, but I f—ing will! Don’t be sidling up next to me!"

Morgan went on to say that The Walking Dead fans “are some of the coolest people [he’s] ever met” but there is that one percent that you have to watch out for. “Lock ya doors,” he laughed.
