The Bad Things from 716

  1. Alternate reality/flashback scenes. The scene from Sasha’s subconscious felt really out of place in this episode. While it’s great to see Abraham, fans have already said their goodbyes and bringing back a character for a scene like that. Plus, it makes you question the all the other scenes with Sasha later on.
  2. Morgan wanting to fight solo. Too often in season 7, there was a theme of characters going out on their own or in small groups to fight. Morgan is too smart to be doing this, even if he has flashed back to his ‘Clear’ days. Thankfully, he didn’t have the opportunity to jump any of The Saviors before The Kingdom got to him.
  3. Awkwardness between Jadis, Michonne, and Rick. This scene was cringeworthy. Even though it was likely meant to be that way to create some distance between The Scavengers and Alexandria, it still felt really strange as to how Jadis went about wanting to ‘lay with’ Rick after the fight.
  4. Trusting The Scavengers. All the warning signs were there. Instead of recruiting Oceanside, Rick and Alexandria opted to work out their deal with The Scavengers. Sadly, they put their eggs in the wrong basket and the community paid the price for putting blind faith in strangers.
  5. Eugene saying to Rick that he is Negan. This was a big step in the evolution of Eugene’s character. For him to make that statement to Rick and Alexandria is a massive moment, and when Rick gave the signal to blow up the truck next to Eugene and The Saviors the situation was heartbreakingly intense and crushing to many fans.
