Fans can’t stop talking about the impact that The Kingdom and The Hilltop had on the battle against The Saviors in the season 7 finale of The Walking Dead.
There were many great moments from the season 7 finale of The Walking Dead. The episode titled ‘The First Day of the Rest of Your Life’ set everything up nicely for All Out War, which will likely take up most of season 8.
Before looking ahead at what to expect from future episodes of AMC’s zombie survival drama, let’s take a look back at a scene that turned the tide at the gates of Alexandria as Rick and company struggled against The Saviors and The Scavengers.
Here is the scene that has everyone talking titled ‘Rise Up’ as shared on the official YouTube channel of AMC:
Negan had both Carl and Rick on their knees. After a short talk, Negan was about to bash Carl’s head in with Lucille, but was stopped by the arrival of reinforcements.

The shocking moment was Shiva arriving on the scene. With a mighty pounce, she landed on one of The Saviors, scaring Negan and the other soldiers from The Sanctuary into making a hasty retreat. In particular, Negan’s reaction to the tiger was priceless.
King Ezekiel proclaimed that Alexandria would not fall on this day, as Morgan, Carol and the rest of the people from his community pushed The Saviors back.
Negan’s surprises continued as he saw The Hilltop join the fray from the woods. He was shocked to see Maggie was still alive and did what he could to get to safety as Shiva pounced on another of The Saviors.
The tide turned completely as Alexandria, The Kingdom, and The Hilltop took control of the fight. They killed many members of The Saviors and The Scavengers. The Scavengers put down some smoke grenades in order to make an escape.

Alexandria was able to be defended that day, but war is still coming. The Saviors now know they are in for a fight, and the communities will need to be ready when season 8 of The Walking Dead premieres on AMC.
