#9 – The zombies kind of suck

The basic stance that WhatCulture takes on the undead is that they just don’t seem to pose much of a threat to the survivors anymore. They seem like more of a nuisance rather than legitimate killing machines, taking the excitement out of interactions with them.

However, the visuals of the undead are praised in the video for their decayed look and general appearance in different situations.

WhatCulture isn’t too far off in this instance. There was a time where one walker was enough to finish off someone like Amy, Ed, or Meghan, but now there are hordes of the monsters that can’t seem to get anyone unless they are absolutely trapped. Something needs to be done to bring back some of the fear fans get for their characters in these instances.

Another thing that needs to be mentioned are the tribute walkers. Greg Nicotero does a fantastic job giving nods to other great horror properties on the show, For hardcore fans of the genre, those are great Easter eggs.

Plus, the walker actors themselves always do a fantastic job of nailing the undead walk!
