#7 – The games are WAY better

This was not a point that really has much to do at all with AMC’s The Walking Dead. However, WhatCulture included it anyway to contrast between the character development and story in the game against the hit television show.

Firstly, this is obviously an opinion rather than a ‘problem’. While it is easy to agree that the games based in the same zombie apocalypse from Telltale are absolutely amazing and should be played by all fans, it’s hard to weigh the two against each other.

The games from Telltale are more like interactive movies. It offers a much different experience from both the show and comics in that it got to enter a well-established universe with a massively popular fan base and cross over with some well-known characters.

To say that the success of the games is a problem for AMC’s flagship zombie program is almost absurd because it helps to maintain brand recognition in a completely different medium. And what level of enjoyment people get from their gaming experience is completely up to them.
