#6 – What about the rest of the world?

At this point, WhatCulture inquires about the outbreak’s containment. The question of just how far it has reached and what other parts of the world are like considering how things have been going in southern and eastern United States.

These questions have been answered in both the show and the comic book, which is possible to one day be brought to the small screen for AMC’s show in the future.

At the CDC in season 1, Dr. Jenner says that he was in communication with people all over the world and the last group he lost contact with was in France, who were looking for some kind of cure for the outbreak. Not only that, but The Walking Dead: The Alien was set in Spain and featured Jeffrey Grimes (yes, of THAT Grimes family) dealing with some of the undead across the pond.

When you add in the situation in Mexico with Fear The Walking Dead, you have what should be considered a global pandemic. Maybe there is some security at the polar icecaps, but any place that was inhabited should be considered extremely dangerous. But why branch out to learn more about these places when that brings up another problem: character overload.
