#5 – Daryl isn’t the most interesting character

WhatCulture is right that Daryl Dixon is the most popular character on The Walking Dead. His badass style of survival makes him fun to watch. Sadly, they also believe that his character lacks depth.

On this point, they aren’t too far from the truth. Any time it looked to like Daryl was going to get some major character development, it all got pulled back and he reverted to the individual fans have known from the start.

He’s sort of like a chameleon in scenes. Daryl adjusts based on the situations he is into be sensitive, bloodthirsty, defiant, and a range of other traits that seem to be pulled out of thin air at times to fit what the show needs.

Hopefully, if Daryl is to be around for the long haul, he can get more of an identity in upcoming seasons and can add some depth to a character who desperately needs it. However, fans seem to love the version of Daryl that has been around for 7 seasons now, so maybe this is just something few individuals have an issue with.
