#3 – Robert Kirkman

WhatCulture looked to the creator of The Walking Dead for one of their biggest points. Kirkman and Tony Moore’s comic book series is the foundation for the hit AMC show, something he should be very proud of.

However, in the video he is criticized for not adapting the comics to the television screen in a way that would be more pleasing to the viewing audience and following a similar formula for each major storyline.

The comics provide a great framework, but it is watching these stories being executed on-screen with the exciting changes for the show that keeps everything interesting. And for those who only watch the show, this is a great opportunity to watch these stories be told for the first time.

For fans not wanting a story based on the comics, they should check out Fear The Walking Dead, the awesome webisodes, or the games from Telltale. There are plenty of options for those who want to step outside the proven source material of the comic book series.
