The Walking Dead adds 3 new series regulars for season 8
By Sonya Iryna
The Scavengers, The Saviors and The Hilltop are each getting new series regulars for season 8 of The Walking Dead.
TVLine revealed today that some secondary characters from AMC’s The Walking Dead are getting bumped up to series regulars in season 8.
According to a report from TVLine Jadis, Enid and Simon are all confirmed to be series regulars for season 8 of The Walking Dead. That means fans will definitely be seeing more of The Scavengers in season 8.
It’s not really a surprise that Simon, one of Negan’s highest ranking Saviors, is going to be a series regular. As the communities head into full-blown war it’s safe to assume that Simon is going to be playing a big part in the Saviors battle strategy.
And now that Sasha is gone Enid is going to be one of Maggie’s biggest supporters at The Hilltop. With no doctor and without Sasha to depend on Maggie will depend on Enid a lot more as her pregnancy progresses.

Whose Side Will The Scavengers Be On?
Jadis, played by Pollyanna McIntosh, double crossed Rick in season 7. After making a deal to fight for the survivors Jadis made a better deal to fight for Negan. When the battle in the season finale really kicked off The Scavengers ran.
Now that McIntosh has been promoted to series regular fans will definitely see more of The Scavengers. Will they stick with Negan and The Saviors or try to make a better deal with the survivors? It’s doubtful that Rick would trust Jadis again. So The Scavengers won’t have a lot of options when it comes to staying out of the war.
Where Is Gregory?
Simon, played by Steven Ogg, has a pretty good relationship with Gregory. Gregory even went to Simon for help at the end of season 7. Will Simon try to take out Maggie and reinstate Gregory as the leader at The Hilltop? With Maggie in charge at The Hilltop now Simon won’t find The Hilltop very receptive to The Saviors. If Gregory wants to stay alive he had better convince Negan that he can help The Saviors win the war.
