With the eighth season of The Walking Dead set to begin filming at the end of April, Chandler Riggs wasted no time letting fans know he’s excited.

Fans have watched Chandler Riggs grow up on The Walking Dead. Carl was a baby-faced little boy in season one and now he’s an adult, working in tandem with with his dad to fight the good fight.

Now that season 8 is about to start filming, Riggs took to Twitter to let his followers know that he’s seen the script for season 8 and he likes it.

He really, really likes it.

However, there’s one thing he likes even better, and that’s the time in between seasons when he’s in the same boat as fellow fans who are trying to figure out what will happen in the upcoming season.

Being able to speculate with fans is a lot of fun, and he doesn’t have to worry about giving anything away. Those kind of moments are few and far between for actors on the show since they are sworn to secrecy once filming begins.

Riggs still hasn’t announced his college plans though he has teased the idea of attending Auburn University in the past. And though he’ll be a college student in the fall, there’s no reason to suspect that Carl might be the next one to leave the show. With customized online study options available these days, Riggs can easily do the college thing and continue on the show.

Now that we know Riggs is excited about the script, it makes it an even longer wait until The Walking Dead returns in October.
