Episode 4 of The Walking Dead: A New Frontier is titled ‘Thicker Than Water’ and continues the journey of Javier and Clementine in Telltale’s undead world.
Telltale Games continues to make some of the most compelling games on the market today. Their ability to take massive franchises and create successful offshoots is second to none in the gaming world, and The Walking Dead is no exception.
The third game in the main series from Telltale is titled A New Frontier. The story follows Javier and Clementine as they continue to work hard to survive the zombie apocalypse and keep their loved ones safe. The game reached Episode 4, which was released on April 25, 2017.

Episode 3 focused mostly on building up the story between The New Frontier and Javier’s group. However, that didn’t change much in Episode 4, as the game stayed remarkably tame until the final moments.

The buildup throughout ‘Thicker Than Water’ was a huge roller coaster. Several tough decisions were presented for the player, and a handful of them were really hard to make a choice since it put Javier in troublesome situations.
There were more action sequences than Episode 3, which is a great thing. This episode felt more like a game than a story that was just being told, and some of the decisions made the player feel like they were actually in charge of the action.
Overall, ‘Thicker Than Water’ was a pleasureful gaming experience with intense moments, but it still hasn’t matched the shock factor and intense gameplay of the first two episodes of the game. Still, it sets the stage for an intense final installment of the series.
