#4. Could Daryl come to the comics?

One of the biggest differences between AMC’s flagship zombie television program and the popular comic book source material is the existence of the crossbow-wielding member of the Dixon family: Daryl.

Daryl has become one of the most popular characters on the show, making fans wonder what would happen if he made the jump to the comic book series if it could improve the sales or the stories?

That looks like something that will never happen though. Right now, there is already Dwight in the comics, who is quite a bit like Daryl. The show already has shown the two characters blending together, so having that in the comic isn’t something that would be greatly appealing.

Having a familiar, popular character join the story would be exciting, but it could be majorly distracting to the story as well. For now, viewers of AMC’s show should enjoy having Daryl as an exclusive character while still enjoying the comics for the different experience it gives readers.
