The Walking Dead cast and crew celebrated Star Wars Day with May the Fourth celebratory tweets and posts. Michael Rooker is the winner.

The Force is strong with the cast and crew of The Walking Dead as they took to social media to celebrate Star Wars Day.

In case you didn’t realize it, May 4 is Star Wars Day because May the Fourth Be With You. (Incidentally, May 5 is Revenge of the Fifth). It might be an unofficial holiday but it’s recognized and celebrated around the world.

The Walking Dead alum Michael Rooker, whose new movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 came out in theaters on May 4, demonstrated his mad lightsaber skills on Instagram. The guy could seriously take on Darth Maul with moves like that.

Meanwhile, the official Walking Dead comic book account posted a May the 4th message to fans featuring Michonne as Kylo Ren, Daryl as Han Solo, Maggie as Jyn Erso, and Sasha as Rey. It’s an interesting choice to portray Michonne as a bad guy, but she looks fierce with Kylo Ren’s lightsaber.

Khary Payton, the man who brings King Ezekiel to life, also had his own tribute to Star Wars Day.

The only fanbase that is more enthusiastic than the TWD Family is the Star Wars fanbase, but it’s a fanbase that has spanned four decades. In fact, the 40th anniversary of the first Star Wars movie, A New Hope, will be celebrated later this year to commemorate Episode IV’s release in 1977.
