Fear The Walking Dead star Cliff Curtis cast as lead for Avatar film series

Zombie fans know Cliff Curtis from playing Travis Manawa on AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead, but he’s landed a lead role in the upcoming Avatar movie sequels.
Fans of Cliff Curtis in AMC’s zombie companion series Fear The Walking Dead are in for a real treat, as it has been announced that the man who plays Travis Manawa has landed one of the biggest roles in Hollywood.
The New Zealand Herald recently broke the news that Curtis was not only cast in the upcoming Avatar film sequels, but that he will portray a lead character who will appear in multiple installments of the film franchise.
Of course, Avatar does not need to be explained to most people. The James Cameron science fiction movie is the highest grossing film of all-time, beating out other massive hits like Titanic, Jurassic World, and The Avengers by over half a billion dollars.

This is a great opportunity for Curtis, who gained a lot of exposure thanks to his role on Fear The Walking Dead.
Producer Jon Landau had nothing but positive things to say about adding Cliff Curtis to the cast of upcoming Avatar films, including this great praise:
"“Not only is Cliff a great actor but he is a great person too,” said Landau from his Los Angeles office. “No one shines brighter than Cliff,” said Landau, adding that Curtis is “a shining example of the extraordinary creative talents from New Zealand’s film community that have drawn us to produce our films in the country”."
Curtis joins an already amazing cast including stars such as Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington and Sigourney Weaver to play the role of Tonowari, who is the leader of the reef people clan called the Metkayina in the upcoming Avatar movies.
