9) Enid and Ron Anderson

Everything was going mostly fine for Ron before Carl showed up. Outside of his father’s misdeeds toward his mother, he lived a fairly normal life for the apocalypse. Then newcomer Carl took Enid away gradually episode by episode of The Walking Dead. Losing Enid and later losing his own father because of Carl’s dad would irreversibly change Ron. Not only would he be losing his girlfriend but Carl’s father steals his mother Jessie. It’s no wonder Ron would seek revenge on Carl.

Though most of The Walking Dead audience were likely cheering Carl because of a multiple season connection, Ron was a misunderstood tragic character of the show. He went from happy go-lucky, inviting and warm figure to a destroyed, sullen, bitter fellow. His whole life turned upside down because of some new neighbors. As a teenager, the last straw was having his girlfriend slowly wane interest.

The Enid breakup combined with losing his father would inevitably result in catastrophe for the Grimes family. As immediately upon losing mother Jessie and brother Sam, there was no connection left for Ron to play good on. He would take a shot at Carl, who would lose an eye in the process.
