7) Shane and Andrea
Lori might have been out of Shane’s grasp but his actions to impress her did not go unnoticed. A new challenger to throne, Andrea, made it more than a bit known she was into Mr. Walsh. Never to be shy, she was quite forward in her advances toward Shane during a ride back to the farm. Andrea was fully behind Shane being the absolute leader of the group but nevertheless her efforts would be in vain.
Shane however, would never commit to Andrea… Maintaining a steadfast desire to gain Lori back. No matter what Andrea did she could never fully capture 100% of Shane’s attention. Fleeting at best, reduced to a mere fling.
The relationship never fully advanced past the on and off stage, and while Andrea took it serious, Shane did not. A one sided affair if there ever was one. Forever, the bride’s maid never the bride. Eventually, Andrea would see the writing on the wall and find greener pastures in a good ole’ Southern charmer in The Governor. Though practical for Shane, he did not find love in the short-term relationship, seeing it merely transitional. Always Lori being the end goal of any true love.
