- Introduced: Episode 407 “Dead Weight”
- Died: Episode 407 “Dead Weight”
While Pete didn’t have a lot of time on The Walking Dead, the character was able to make a big impact. He was shown to be strong, compassionate, and forward-thinking, which were all great qualities for a leader in the zombie apocalypse.
Pete had the potential to be a great addition to any zombie fighting team. However, he lacked some of the hardened qualities needed. He wasn’t willing to rob a camp of survivors and always wanted to take in people rather than kill them off.
Morally, Pete always took the high road. After the death of Martinez, he assumed the role of leader in the RV community. The Governor went to discuss Mitch’s behavior with him, but the two end up fighting.
The Governor stabbed Pete in the back and dumped him in the nearby lake. One of the most haunting scenes in the series is a look at Pete being sunk to the bottom of the lake with his arms stretched out and looking up as a walker.
