#2 Is it possible Lori is still alive?

Vicki Capers on Facebook asks “Is it possible Carl didn’t kill Lori in season 3??? I’d love to see her return to the show I mean we never saw him shoot her just a gun shot and then him waking out!!!”

Sadly, Sarah Wayne Callies will likely never return to AMC’s flagship zombie program. Her character’s death was supposed to be one of the most crushing moments from the series, but instead put even more focus on Rick and Carl instead.

A living version of Lori coming back to the show would be impossible. The implied shooting from Carl as well as the walker eating Lori’s body are enough to confirm that she is indeed very dead and won’t be coming back.

But that doesn’t close the door to her return as a walker. While it was assumed that Carl shot Lori in the head, it is possible he didn’t. Then, having a walker eating her wouldn’t prevent her from coming back as a zombie herself.

That also means that the group would need to travel back to the area by the prison again, which seems extremely unlikely since the survivors are all settled in to their areas and probably wouldn’t go on any missions back to that location any time soon.
