The season premiere of Fear the Walking Dead left us with some answers, but tons of questions. Here are 5 questions we have for next week’s episode 303, “TEOTWAWKI.”

Fear the Walking Dead is back and the action has been nonstop from the first moment of the season premiere. Looking ahead, there are many things we need to know going into episode 303, which is entitled “TEOTWAWKI.” If you’re wondering what that mouthful of letters means, it’s actually pretty interesting: “The End Of The World As We Know It.” Yeah. How’s that for foreshadowing?

Here’s a quick primer of what we do know: Travis is dead, Madison and her family are “guests” at Jeremiah’s ranch with and ailing Luciana, Jeremiah’s son Troy seems like a real danger, Strand has been ousted from the resort, and Ofelia is nowhere to be seen.

With that in mind, here are 5 questions that we have ahead of the June 11 episode of Fear the Walking Dead:

Who was shooting at the helicopter?

Based on their reactions, Jake, Charlene and later Jeremiah, don’t seem particularly surprised that someone was shooting at the chopper. They knew there were hostiles out there, so why take that route? Was there a way to avoid the dangerous area? Who are these people and why would they want to bring down the chopper?

Exactly how dangerous is Troy?

Troy is someone who is well suited for the apocalypse. He takes his role seriously (whatever it is–we aren’t sure yet) and he demands results from those around him. He’s also willing to cross the line and to the line of immorality if it suits his needs, and that makes him a dangerous character.

His brother Jake has indicated that the family is aware of Troy’s personality, and that they watch him closely. But when Troy was getting ready to shoot Luciana, no one was stopping him. Sure, they might not allow dead bodies on the ranch, but Luciana was still breathing. Surely they don’t kill people who aren’t dead, right?

Troy is like a live wire. It’s going to be interesting to see how he gets along with Nick, who also has a volatile personality.

Is Madison’s plan feasible?

Madison is now the sole parent of her family, and after several false starts she needs to start playing the apocalypse a lot smarter than she has been to this point.

Despite Nick’s warnings, Madison has determined that the family is going to stay at Broke Jaw Ranch and make it their home, and if things don’t go their way, they will take it over. While we applaud her newfound tenacity, she’s not really in the position to be taking anything over – yet. However, she has been making strides to take more control of the situations she finds herself in, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Where is Strand going?

Strand has finished playing doctor and now he has been exiled from the resort. However, he has a brand new Jag to drive, so getting around won’t be a problem. (Until he runs out of gas) Where is he heading? We know Strand is a man with a plan, so we can bet he knows what he’s going to do next.

Where is Ofelia?

We’ve been asking this question for a while now. Where is Ofelia, where has she been, and will she ever meet up with Madison and her family?

It might be better to ask if Ofelia will meet up with Strand, or possibly her father Daniel Salazar, at some point. We know Daniel is coming back, so could it be that he reunites with his daughter while she’s separated from the group?

Will we get answers to these questions in “TEOTWAWKI?” We can only hope.

Fear the Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
