#1. Where are the OTHER biters?

The Walking Dead does its best to create realistic and deadly situations in the zombie apocalypse, but one thing that seems to be missing from the equation is the presence of another creature who eats from human beings.

Of course, we’re talking about bugs and mosquitoes. The survivors never seem to be swarmed by any kind of bugs when they absolutely should be, especially when they were making the trek to Washington D.C.

Much of this likely has to do with filming. I’m sure some precautions are taken to avoid the bloodsuckers and biters, but it hasn’t really been shown on-screen in many of the behind-the-scenes segments.

AMC likely doesn’t want their actors looking all bit up on the show. Even though they are supposed to be struggling with their surroundings, it’s best to keep the cast looking sharp so that they are more marketable and appealing to viewers.
