#4. Dear John

Karen Murphy on Facebook is “wondering who John is according to the TV series.”

I have to say, this is something I have been wondering about as well. Things within The Saviors got quite a bit shaken up outside of Negan, Dwight, Sherry, and Tara (Arat), making fans wonder who some of the other characters match up to be.

One of the major players in the comic book series from The Saviors is a man named John, who is physically imposing and was one of the original members of the group from as far back as the group was together.

That means that whoever the TV version of John is likely has been introduced already, just given a new identity. For me, I see that as Steven Ogg’s characers of Simon, who acts as Negan’s right hand man on the show.

While Simon isn’t even close to as imposing as John in the comics physically, he does still have a very big personality and should stick around on the show for as long as possible. Maybe it’s just wishful thinking, but Ogg seems to be the right actor even though the role is changed.
