Fear The Walking Dead, Eye Of The Beholder: Things To Note

1) The very first image we see in this episode is a top-down shot of a forked road as Troy’s team drags Madison, Alicia, and Travis. Considering what happens to Travis (As opposed to Madison and Alicia) this visual is quite symbolic.
2) As Travis is taken down the hallway to be placed in the storage room, he passes a pair of Troy’s soldiers gunning a man down and marking his time of death. This is some gloomy foreshadowing if ever there was some.
3) The ambush Nick recounts to Travis is the one he, Luciana, and the residents of La Colonia suffered at the end of the Season Two finale, “North”.
4) Nick and Travis’s conversation also confirms that the bloody bodies strewn about as he, Madison, and Alicia were brought in were, in fact, the citizens of La Colonia.
5) In a nice bit of continuity, Alicia complains to her mother about Nick’s behavior causing them blowback. This has been a theme with her since the pilot.
6) Troy has Madison and Alicia stored in the office of Sergeant Kurt Skogstrand(?, I couldn’t quite make it out). This raises an important question: What happened to the soldiers stationed at the depot?
