7) As Madison is questioned by Troy, Madison makes a point not to mention Strand. Does she think he’s never coming? Or is she withholding information because she’s suspicious of Troy?

8) Am I the only one who inferred that Troy’s mother might have turned? The way he said it made it seem like her death might be rather recent.

9) Troy is trying to determine how long it takes for a person to turn and what factors might dictate that. This is the first time we’ve seen anyone so interested in that aspect of the infected since Milton in Season Three of The Walking Dead.

10) Troy asks Travis if he’s heard from any relatives in New Zealand. He’s the second person in Fear The Walking Dead to mention how the apocalypse may (Or may not) be outside of North America. The first was Jack in the Season Two opener, “Monster”, where he discussed going to Hawaii (Granted, that could have been a lie on his part). Japan was mentioned in Radio Waves, but, for our purposes, we’ll only count Fear itself.

11) Troy wonders if people from different countries might react differently to the disease. He’s the first person in either show to posit any theory of localized immunity to it.
