Fear the Walking Dead season 3 episode 4 synopsis: ‘100’

Fear the Walking Dead season 3 episode 4, “100,” gives us an inside look at what one character has been up to while he’s been gone.

Just as things were really starting to look bad for Victor Strand in Fear the Walking Dead’s episode 303, “TEOTWAWKI,” he was in for the shock of his life when Daniel Salazar showed up at his cell door. In this week’s episode, entitled “100,” we see what Salazar has been up to since we last saw him in Celia’s basement.

Daniel Salazar has been MIA for quite some time. He missed Madison, Strand and Alicia’s detour to the resort, Ofelia’s disappearance, Nick’s time at La Colonia, and the death of Travis and Chris. Now he’s at Dante’s compound, on the other side of the bars, and he has the ability to free Strand, but it might not be that easy.

Here is the official episode synopsis from AMC:

“A mysterious character searches for purpose and soon becomes tied to the struggle over a key resource in the apocalypse.”

We already can surmise that the “key resource” is water, and we can guess that the “mysterious character” is probably Daniel Salazar.

From what we can see, Daniel only suffered minor burns in the fire that destroyed Celia and her cellar full of Infected. Everyone fled the plantation after the fire so he was left alone as he made his escape. No one knows he’s alive, until now, and given that Strand’s relationship with Dante has soured, it will be interesting to see what Daniel does next. We can only hope that he will help Strand to escape, too. If Strand is smart, he’ll use his knowledge of Ofelia to get out of that prison cell.

It would be fascinating to see the team of Strand and Salazar working together. But first we have to see how Daniel Salazar came to be at the dam.

Fear the Walking Dead “100” airs Sunday, June 18, at 9pm on AMC.
