The bad things from Fear 304

  1. Not showing how Daniel escaped the plantation. So, the episode opened with Daniel walking away from the Abigail plantation, but no showing how he escaped or what happened to his leg. I was hoping for a better explanation.
  2. Hearing Daniel’s backstory again. We know the story. We have seen it played out and cause him the respect of his daughter. Why use the time to hammer that story home instead of show how he got out of the fire in the wine cellar? Instead, we get told that he doesn’t know how he got out.
  3. Lightning strikes. Fear The Walking Dead introduces a physically imposing walker that has a main character in a precarious situation and…it gets hit by lightning? Seriously. I know Daniel was saying some prayers, but the odds of this happening are astronomical!
  4. Getting called a thug. Daniel did his best to keep the people from the dam away from the fountain which provides water for many people, but that still wasn’t good enough because he had to sell out the quarters of the man who saved him.
  5. Strand out-conned himself. Daniel saw right through Victor’s attempts to con him into letting him out. Not only did that lead to Strand being left for dead, but it also made Daniel believe that his daughter is dead. Absolutely nothing good came from saying Ofelia is waiting at the hotel for him…and hopefully this opens his eyes to the situation.
