In an official Undead Walking Twitter poll, a vast majority of Fear the Walking Dead fans don’t trust anyone at Broke Jaw Ranch.

One of the problems in the Fear the Walking Dead universe is that when you encounter new people, there’s no way of telling if they’re trustworthy or not. Such is the case with the Otto family at Broke Jaw Ranch. We already know Troy Otto, the youngest son of Jeremiah Otto, is a nutjob. We don’t know a lot about Jake, and so far it’s decidedly not clear what to really think about the Otto family patriarch. We asked Fear the Walking Dead fans who they trusted at Broke Jaw Ranch, and the results were very clear: No one. And Jake, kind of.

As you can see from the results, 46% of respondents say they wouldn’t trust anyone on the ranch. Jake comes in with 43%, and Troy narrowly edges out his father with 6% to Jeremiah’s 5%.

What’s fascinating about the poll are the two lowest numbers. Troy beat out Jeremiah, which says a lot. We already know what Troy is about, but Jeremiah is still much more of a mystery. Madison seems to have Troy’s number already, and she’s playing it openly to curry favor with the family and the ranch. Jeremiah is like a loaded gun who could snap in the wrong circumstances.

As we continue to learn more about the Otto family, Jake seems to be the one who is the most level headed. He’s a lot like Alicia in that sense, having grown up with dysfunctional parents and a very dysfunctional brother. Given the similarities, it wouldn’t be hard to see those two band together later on.
