We return to Broke Jaw Ranch in Fear the Walking Dead episode 305, “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame.” Here are 5 questions we have.

Life at Broke Jaw Ranch seems to be pretty idyllic, even though we know that outward appearances mean nothing on Fear the Walking Dead. Things aren’t what they seem, ever. “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame” takes us back to the ranch, where Madison embarks upon a mission with Troy. They’re looking for answers, but what happens when they find them?

Will Troy and Madison make a good team?

There seems to be some kind of an accord between Madison and Troy. Troy respects Madison’s authority, down to allowing her to place a napkin in his lap. But will they be able to work together? That’s a harder question.

Troy has taken the whole spoon to the eye incident rather well. Instead of anger and bitterness, his obsession with the Clark family has grown. Is he looking for a place to belong? Will Madison be able to connect with him on a deeper level during this outing?

Who shot down the helicopter?

Answers. We need answers about the helicopter. Madison lost Travis on that helicopter so she’s as invested as everyone else when it comes to getting answers. But what happens when they get the answers they have been searching for? What then?

Where does Alicia go from here?

When Alicia explained to her new friends that she had in fact killed someone, they were in awe, but it gave her pause. Alicia is back in an uncomfortable situation, stuck between her mother and her brother. She had been coming into her own at the resort before everything fell apart, and now she’s back in a situation with little control.

And then there’s Jake. Alicia and Jake have a common background, with their troubled parents and siblings and difficult childhoods. Will something develop between them?

Can Nick and Luciana find a place at Broke Jaw Ranch?

Luciana has already made it clear that she wants to leave Broke Jaw Ranch, but Nick doesn’t think it’s a good idea. He knows Madison wants to stay there so he’s torn between his girlfriend and his mother.

Now that Nick has established a rapport with Troy (all it took was almost shooting him in the head) maybe they can be useful to each other.

Where is Ofelia?

Don’t worry, Ofelia. We haven’t forgotten about you.

We know she’s out there, somewhere. Is it possible Madison and Troy might find her?
