#3. Why is water the currency?
The previous week, fans learned how the people at the dam were using the facility to control the flow of water and use that to exploit the survivors into the area to do work for them or bring them items to trade.
It appears as though the reason water is so hard to come by is the dam itself, which had shut off supply to the area. As seen in the previous episode, people were in a massive line in hopes of filling up just one container.
But they couldn’t keep the entire flow under control. There was a fountain that the people of the village were using to fill up their containers that went off at 5 pm each day for a short period of time.
That loss of water became the focus of the people at the dam, as they wanted to know where this water was going and why it wasn’t being shut off from the main facility so they could extort the people of the area.
