#5. Does Daniel know Ofelia is alive?
Daniel said that something pulled him out of the fire and kept him fighting to survive. He may have been hoping that thing keeping him going was the survival of his daughter due the fire at the Abigail plantation.

He broke down once to Efrain regarding the situation, not knowing if his actions in the wine cellar were the cause of his daughter’s death and begging for forgiveness for the things he’s done to this point.
When he finally got the chance to ask Strand about what happened with Ofelia, Daniel didn’t know what to think. In classic Victor-speak, the conversation turned into a deal for his safety and Mr. Salazar was unable to trust anything that was said.
At this point, it’s hard to know whether or not he thinks his daughter is still alive. Sure, he probably hopes she is and may even check out the hotel where Victor said they are, but he will need much more convincing to believe she’s actually out there.
