#1. Handling the time jump

Rocky J Manero on Facebook asks: “How will The Walking Dead handle the supposed time jump that is due to happen at this point when it happened in the comics with a much older Carl?”

While many fans are looking forward to the All-Out War between The Saviors and the surrounding communities, others are already looking past this part of the story and wondering how the hit show will handle future issues in the comics.

One of the most interesting things coming up is the time jump. Following the war, things are peaceful for a while and the comics skip much of the time when communities are rebuilt and organized.

However, the show may need to do some recasting. Of course, another actress will likely be brought in to be Judith, but one of the other tough roles may be Carl, who needs to look significantly older after the time jump.

Perhaps they’ll just ask Chandler Riggs to grow some facial hair or use makeup to make him appear older. Or maybe Riggs will want to move on from the show and pursue his schoolwork or other career options. There will be plenty of options, but I hope Riggs sticks around to play Carl for a long time.
