Overall impression of Fear 305

Many fans thought that the best episode of season 3 to this point has been the one focusing on Daniel Salazar…but it has been surpassed by ‘Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame’ for many great reasons.

First of all, the show had a great balance of everything. There were intense moments with a lot of character building, action, and plenty of shocking scenes to keep everyone glued to the edge of their seats.

Not only were a new group introduced, but they have a well-established reason for not liking the group the protagonists have met up with, which adds a little more fuel to the fire for what should lead to a fantastic showdown between the groups.

Plus, many great characters got fantastic one-on-one scenes, including Daniel and Victor, Jeremiah and Nick, Troy and Madison, and even Alicia and Jake. Using established characters to make viewers care about the recently introduced ones is a brilliant way to develop what might otherwise be one-dimensional characters.

I said it already, but I’ll say it again. This was the best episode of the season so far and could very well be the best episode of the series to this point. Things are looking way up for Fear The Walking Dead, and I can’t wait to find out where the show will take us next.
