#4. Can Madison keep manipulating Troy?

One of the most interesting storylines from this season involves Madison Clark and Troy Otto, who have developed a stranger relationship built on fear, manipulation, and exploitation that is confusing to say the least.

After discovering some secrets about Troy’s childhood and his relationship with his mother, the former school counselor used that information to befriend the young man and gain even more information about his family and the community they live in.

But dealing with an unstable person can be a huge challenge. The unpredictability of Troy came into play after Madison openly questioned his authority and decision-making in front of others from Broke Jaw Ranch and in response he put a knife to her throat in her sleep.

However, Madison stayed calm through all of this and appears to know exactly what to do to keep young Mr. Otto in check, even if it does provide some ultimately horrific situations for her and her family.
