Life at Broke Jaw Ranch is about to change, and on this week’s episode of Fear the Walking Dead the truth about the ranch gets closer to being revealed.

The official AMC synopsis of Fear the Walking Dead “Red Dirt” is as follows:

“News of incoming danger spreads throughout the community as Madison struggles to keep everyone together. Nick grapples with a hard truth.”

The mysterious Walker gave Troy and Madison an ultimatum in “Burning in Water, Drowning in Flame.” He claims that he has a right to Broke Jaw Ranch, and he has the means to reclaim it from Jeremiah Otto. Surprisingly, Troy doesn’t try to fight him. Yes, they were surrounded, but Troy seems to know that the situation is graver than he’d care to admit.

While Alicia and Jake grew closer, Nick woke up to discover Luciana had fled the ranch. Now he must grapple with the harsh reality of what it’s like to be the one who is left behind after he himself left his family behind. However, Nick now has something of a paternal figure in Jeremiah Otto, and this might help him cope with the loss of his girlfriend and the big decision he needs to make: Go after her, or remain with his family.

With the threat against the ranch, will Madison stay and fight with the Ottos, or will she take her family to safety?
