The SDCC Exhibit Hall

Fans attending San Diego Comic Con will first encounter The Walking Dead at the AMC booth (#4237). This is where the swag and photo ops will be, along with selected cast autograph sessions.

In 2014 the booth depicted a scene from Terminus with “Those who arrive survive” playing over and over and over…and over and over and over again on a loudspeaker above the booth, so you knew you were approaching when you could hear it over the din of the crowd. The 2015 booth portrayed an infamous white truck belonging to the Wolves and a revolving door full of Walkers. 2016’s booth featured the full cast lineup while Negan and Lucille stood waiting to select a victim.

It’s not uncommon to see Walkers in full makeup at the AMC booth. Fans are able to walk through the exhibit at certain times of the day and take pictures. There is never a short wait for the AMC booth, but it moves pretty quickly and the photo ops are always worth the wait.

Looking ahead to 2017, it’s quite possible we might see a scene from Negan’s Sanctuary at The Walking Dead booth. The trick, of course, is being able to either recreate a scene or portray a new scene in a relatively small space. 2016’s RV was impressive given its size, but it was the perfect background for the lineup of life size characters from the show.

Needless to say, it’s fun to attend panels, but if you want your daily fix of The Walking Dead at SDCC, the booth is just the thing for you.
