Chance Of Getting An Autograph At SDCC

The biggest difference between San Diego Comic Con and Walker Stalker Conventions is that fan access to The Walking Dead cast members is limited to the Hall H panel, booth signings, and other appearances the cast might make at other events during SDCC.

We’ve already talked about The Walking Dead booth, and what you need to know is that the booth is where the cast will sign autographs. It might be the full cast, or the cast might come out in waves. I’ve seen it both ways.

There is no way to guarantee that you’ll get an autograph during SDCC. The process involves a Line Drawing. This means you will line up very early in the morning for a 9am drawing (people will line up at 6am for this). You pull a ticket, and you either win the opportunity for an autograph or you don’t. Yes, this means you will wait for a 50-50 chance of getting an autograph.

This is where paying for autographs at Walker Stalker Conventions makes a lot of sense. If your heart is set on meeting Jeffrey Dean Morgan, you’re competing with however many people in line to get a chance to meet him in a one-hour window. The odds are not in your favor on this.

This year, The Walking Dead cast will sign autographs at the booth on Friday, July 21, from 1:45pm to 2:45pm. The Fear the Walking Dead cast will sign autographs from 12-1pm on Saturday, July 22 at MLK Plaza. (The Fear the Walking Dead signings will take place outside the Convention Center, but fans will still need a ticket)
