Fear the Walking Dead Panel at SDCC

Fear the Walking Dead returns to San Diego Comic Con with a highly-anticipated panel in Hall H from 11:15 to 12:15pm on Friday, July 21. The Walking Dead’s companion series capitalizes on the captive Hall H audience by going onstage the house before The Walking Dead cast takes the stage. Since Hall H doesn’t clear out between panels, it means that anyone in line overnight to see The Walking Dead will already in in their seats during the Fear the Walking Dead panel.

This year, members of the core cast will be joined by several newcomers. Kim Dickens, Frank Dillane, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Colman Domingo, Mercedes Mason, Sam Underwood, Daniel Sharman, and Michael Greyeyes will represent the cast. Executive Producer and (current) Showrunner David Erickson, EPs Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero and Dave Alpert will also be on hand, with Talking Dead’s Chris Hardwick serving as the panel moderator.

Given that SDCC takes place the week after Fear the Walking Dead’s midseason finale, there will no doubt be a lot to talk about. Notably, Mercedes Mason will be on hand, so hopefully Ofelia will have made an appearance by that point. Absent from the panel are Danay Garcia (Luciana), Ruben Blades (Daniel Salazar) and Dayton Callies (Jeremiah Otto). Do these exclusions mean anything? Perhaps, and perhaps not. It’s quite possible anyone can show up during the panel, as surprise guests often make unannounced/unscheduled appearances.
