18) Qaletaqa Walker identifies the man eaten by the crow, Phil McCarthy. This makes him the second of the “Founding Fathers” of Broke Jaw to die in this episode.
19) When Daniel and Strand arrive at The Rosarito, it appears very much abandoned. Did the infected we saw encroaching on the beach in “The New Frontier” start amassing at the hotel?
20) Daniel pushing the front desk bell at The Rosarito is a dark mirror of Strand doing the same the first time he, Madison, Alicia, and Ofelia arrived there in Season Two’s “Los Muertos”.
21) Apparently, if Troy is any indication, Broke Jaw’s name for the infected is “The Wasted”. This is the same name used by Brandon, Derek, and James in Season Two.
22) Troy and Madison’s team walking almost barefoot through the desert is reminiscent of Travis doing the same while chasing Chris in Season Two’s “Shiva”.
